Hello All,

We are still having our Ground Beef on sale. The bulk is $5.00 a pound and the patties are $6.00 a pound. The Chicken Gizzards will be 1/2 price @ $2.00 a pound. Please let me know what you would want so I can get everything sorted out.

Also thinking ahead about cooler weather. We have plenty of Chicken Backs and Ribs which are great for broth, soup and deboning stock up for this winter.

News From the Wettstein Organic Farm – June 23

We have gotten all the corn and soybeans planted now. We have been getting plenty of rain so far. Also this rain is not helping us to get the hay baled. We have most of the first cutting done, but am waiting on a dry spell to get some more hay cut. We have been rotary hoeing the corn and soybeans at least once and now have cultivated the corn once. This is using the tractor and different attachments to hoe out the weeds in the different fields. Also got a new group of baby broilers in last week in the mail and just got the turkeys delivered to our post office yesterday. They are both doing fine. We do need a heat light on the turkeys because it is so cool. The little ducks (Saxony- a heritage breed) are doing fine also.

Please let me know what you would like this week so I am sure to bring enough up. Can you tell I am begging so that you folks will order a whole bunch. Please let me know by email. dennis@wettsteinorganicfarm.com because I haven’t learned how to check things at the website. A friend is putting this on for me. Harvest Season

We are about to get very busy in the next few weeks. Soon we will be harvesting the grain we will use to create our organic feed and we are entering our last few weeks at the Oak Park Farmers Market.

If you have not been to see us at the Oak Park Farmers Market we are located in the north east corner of the market in front of our green van.

If you have not stopped by in the last few months please be sure to stop by and see us.
